THE STAIRCASE IS BEING RENOVATED

February 26, 2024

The staircase leading up to Joe's is being renovated.

The work has now reached a stage where we are not allowed to use the main staircase. It is planned to take approx. 4 weeks.

During this period, you must go around the building (go round to the left, past RS Auto) and instead use the secondary staircase at the very back of the corner. It is the door on the right that leads into the staircase. There is a note on the door saying "Joe's Entrance - HERE".

Additional information has been sent to all members.

All memberships automatically suspended in January

December 20, 2020

Joe's is currently ordered closed by the Danish Health Authorities due to COVID-19 restrictions. Initially until 3 January.
However, in light of the development in infection rates, we estimate that the restrictions will be extended, at least for a while into January.
For this reason, we have decided that no subscription will be charged for the entire month of January. Thus, no PBS will be deducted and all cash memberships will be automatically extended by one month.

/Joe's

All training is cancelled until January 3, 2021

December 9, 2020

Due to the health authorities' stricter measures to limit the spreading of the Corona virus (COVID-19), we have per December 9, 2020 been ordered to close for all training in Joe's until January 3, 2021.

We follow the authorities' announcements closely and update regularly on the situation on joesboxinggym.dk, Facebook and via e-mail, if the situation changes and new announcements are made.

We are truly sad by this close-down as we think all our restrictions and precautions worked really well. Conversely, we want to take care of you and all our other members so that we can get through the Christmas well. Let's hope the government's new restrictions have the desired effect so we can reopen for training as soon as possible.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

New requirements for the use of face masks

October 27, 2020

From Thursday, October 29, new restrictions apply for the use of face masks, which will also affect Joe's.

Specifically, it becomes a requirement to wear a face mask when you enter Joe's and stay at the reception. While dressing, you are welcome to take it off and once you are dressed for training clothes and enter the gym, you are also welcome to take it off.

You can read the Ministry of Culture's clarification of the rules for fitness centers in this article on DR's website:
https://www.dr.dk/nyheder/indland/ministerium-slaar-fast-intet-krav-om-mundbind-i-fitnesscentrene-naar-man-foerst-er-i

Most important of all is that we can continue to train and stay in shape :-)

Introducing Joe's Powerbox

October 25, 2020

With the new shorter classes of 1 hour, we have introduced the new Joe's Powerbox classes.

Powerbox will mean a shorter and more intensive warm-up and a more focused workout, so you get the most out of the one hour it lasts. Furthermore, the stretch-out will be cancelled and instead we encourage you to stretch out at home. We are working on a video so you don't miss out any of the used muscles.

The situation is not optimal, but with the current restrictions, it is better than not being able to train at all.

Welcome to Joe's Powerbox!

New classes and schedule due to COVID-19

October 25, 2020

Unfortunately is it necessary to make changes to the training due to new guidelines regarding COVID-19.

As of Monday 26, the number of persons per class is reduced to 10 persons per class – 9 participants + 1 trainer.

To maximise the number of participants has we changed the classes and the schedule. The class duration is reduced from 1,5 hour to 1 hour. Thereby is it possible to double to number of classes per day. The break between two classes has been reduced to 15 minutes and all trial lessons have been cancelled for the time being. It will still be possible to buy equipment and beverages before and after the workouts.

Stretch out will be cancelled to maximise the training. A video will be uploaded to Facebook and the homepage so stretching can be carried out at home – don’t forget it.

All existing bookings has been cancelled and you must re-book again on the new classes. Until further notice it will only be possible to book one session at the time in order to maximise the number of participants per week.

The new class schedule will be available here at Classes & Time table. They will also be available in the My eClub app. Further adjustments may be necessary so please stay informed.

We continue to encourage you to, as far as possible, change clothes and take a shower at home.

Remember: If you have any symptoms indicating COVID-19, please stay at home and follow the guidelines from the authorities.

We appreciate your understanding regarding these changes and are happy about the fact that we don’t have to shutdown all training.

New COVID-19 restrictions

October 23, 2020

The Danish authorities have just announced that due to the latest increase in the infection rate of COVID-19, new restrictions will be introduced starting on Monday, October 26. This means that the number of participants per class will be reduced from 24 to 10 people per class.

We will try to find a model that can ensure that as many people as possible can come to training, although it will undoubtedly mean changes in the training and the classes.

"Corona-box" Update

October 13, 2020

Last Saturday we had the first class with "Corona box" at. 12:00. With only 4 members attending the class, it was a huge success in terms of Corona, but there was room for 16 participants.

We have received several comments from members who are of the opinion that the class is ONLY for members who want extra good distance and you were otherwise not welcome. This is not the case! The class is for all members, but we expect that those who want a good distance, of course make sure to book the class well in advance, so they are sure to get a seat.

If there is room on the class, you are thus very welcome to participate on the Corona box team.

/Joe's

"Corona-box" - Saturday at 12:00 PM

October 8, 2020

We now launch another Saturday class at 12:00-13:30, called "Corona-box".

This class does not require a positive Corona test, but is instead intended for you who would like additional distance and feel more comfortable in this on-going Corona time. Maybe you are one of those who has a job that requires you to be extra careful or have a loved one in your immediate circle that you need to pay special attention.
There will be a maximum number of 16 participants instead of the 24 on the regular classes.

Finally, there will be no trial members attending the classes.

Corona box starts up this Saturday.

New Saturday class at 10:00 AM

October 7, 2020

To meet the increasing number of members and ensure that more can attend the training, we have established a new Saturday class at 10:00 - 11:30.

This means there will be training on both Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 AM.

The Saturday class can be booked already in the app and on the booking site.

June 27, 2020

Thus all late classes start at. 6:30 pm (effective today)

All memberships automatically suspended

March 22, 2020

The health authorities have ordered all gyms and fitness centres to close down and as it looks right now, it is very doubtful whether we can open up for training again in the month of April.

We have therefore chosen to suspend all membership for the month of April.

What exactly does this mean?

  • All PBS subscriptions are automatically suspended and you will not be charged for subscriptions. April. You don't have to do anything.
  • All cash memberships will be automatically extended.
  • 10 Session Cards will not be affected, you will have the same number of clips left when we open again.

We are closely following the authorities' announcements and are constantly updating the situation on joesboxinggym.dk as well as on Facebook.

With best regards
